Not in our opinion. No matter what or how, cartridge filters are the toughest to clean. What the spinning does do is it moves really fast making it harder to hit "that dirty spot" to get a concentrated dirt area clean. The faster it spins, the farther the dirty water splatters, and lastly, we found that cleaning a cartridge filter while stationary gives you more control of where to concentrate the water spray allowing you to clean the real dirty areas as long as you need to.

The Pool Filter Buddy does not collapse but can be dismantled by unscrewing the screws if desired. 

We recommend keeping your Buddy assembled at all times. The benefit of keeping it assembled is that it is ready to go when you are on your route. Just unstrap it, set it on the ground and load up your filters to get washed. 

We designed it for Pool Professionals who clean multiple pool filters regularly. The lightweight and slim design allows for easy trasnport and storage without disassembly.

If you are a Pool Professional with a pool route with both Cartridge filters (3" core) and DE filter grids with bottom manifold stems, then our competitors model can only help you wash one filter type.

Pool Filter Buddy is made of no-break polypropylene (PP) plastic. Polypropylene (PP) is known for its strength, toughness, and impact resistance. While it can be damaged by extreme forces or temperatures, it is also flexible and can withstand repeated bending and twisting. More details on polypropylene's breakability:

• Toughness and Impact Resistance: PP is known for its good impact resistance and can absorb sudden shocks or impacts without fracturing or breaking easily
• Flexibility and Bending: PP is a flexible material and can bend without breaking. This makes it suitable for applications where repeated bending occurs, like uneven surfaces, heavy weighted filters, and/or being stepped on.
• Durability: PP is durable and resistant to chemicals, making it suitable for servicing pools.
• Additives:  UV stabilizers have been added to enhance its resistance to degradation and make it more durable. 
• We use rust and chemical resistant stainless steel hardware holding up against all of the normal swimming pool elements.
